Eosinophil chemokines (ECFs) are mainly derived from blood, tissue fluids, and different numbers of cells. The major eosinophil chemokines in the fluid compartment are the complement-derived chitin-free C3a and C5a and, to a lesser extent, the cleavage product of the latter, C5a-desarg.Although both are highly potent chemokines for eosinophils, C5a also activates several other monocyte cell types. Most eosinophil chemokines are derived from resident tissue or peripheral blood cells. They include different chemical entities such as lipids, peptides and proteins.

| Recovery

The recovery of Mouse ECF spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Mouse ECF and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
